MONTALCINO - This ancient two-level stone farmhouse is part of local history. The current structure originates from a medieval watchtower, preserving its massive walls and several arrow slits from which first crossbows and later arquebuses emerged. A careful and extremely conservative renovation has now returned it to a residence with an ancient and extremely traditional feel, a time capsule that allows you to experience Tuscany from centuries past. The farmhouse is surrounded by three hectares of olive groves with centuries-old trees. The olive trees are flanked by chestnut, cherry, hazelnut, and a wide variety of native plants. Water from a natural spring is collected in a large pool. In this oasis of lush nature, near the main building, the owners have created a second annex, more modern yet masterfully integrated into the surrounding landscape, offering an eighty-square-meter guesthouse and a sixty-square-meter underground workshop.
